Privacy policy

SearchOTT does not require registration and does not maintain user accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number through normal use of the site.

Your personal features are stored locally on your device using browser storage:

• Taste profile (the titles you rated and your results)
• Watchlist
• Ratings and reviews you write
• Preferred content language and streaming country (small preference cookies)

This data never leaves your browser except as needed to compute recommendations during your session. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.

Like virtually all websites, our servers and hosting provider may process basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages requested) in server logs for security and performance. Your approximate country may be derived from your IP to show locally relevant streaming availability; it is not stored beyond this purpose.

We use a small number of functional cookies to remember your language and country preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Pages may link to external services (for example, a streaming provider or a trailer on YouTube). Those services have their own privacy policies, which we don't control.

You can clear your locally stored data at any time via your browser settings, and reset your taste profile from the homepage with “Retune my taste”.
